Infodemic management activities within the PHIRI project - European Public Health Week 2021
The first day of the 2021 edition of the European Public Health Week, dedicated to the topic "Communicating Science and Health", is a great opportunity for PHIRI to present its activities, and especially those who are related to the infodemic management. One of PHIRI's expected outcomes is the identification of best practices for handling the COVID-19 pandemic at public health and clinical management level. This includes the COVID-19 response to the infodemic and health mis/disinformation.
This short webinar will present the PHIRI project and how its work and objectives can help for infodemic management:
- Through the Health Information Portal that we are building to support structured information exchange between EU countries. Learn more.
- Through our Rapid Exchange Forum that aims to provide rapid response to research and policy questions that are raised in countries; promptly disseminate internationally agreed guidelines, standards, reports and initiatives; exchange best practices among countries regarding COVID-19. Learn more. The PHIRI Rapid Exchange Forum will also be showcased in a dedicated event with a special edition for the European Public Health Week. More info.
- Through the Webinar we will organise in June 9th & 16th 2021, dedicated to the European experiences, lessons learned and good practices on infodemic management during the COVID-19 crisis. More info to come soon on our website.
